PowerPoint Templates
These PowerPoint templates have been created for use in any Medical Center-related presentation. The color, design scheme, and logos meet the official NYU Langone Medical Center specifications. Please do not alter the logos or colors.
The templates include a title master, a slide master, and a section divider page.
To apply the template to an existing presentation, open the template first. In PowerPoint 2003: Go to Insert —> Slides from file. Then browse for your presentation and choose Insert All. In PowerPoint 2007, this is done by clicking on New Slide --> Reuse Slides. Browse for your existing presentation. Then in the Reuse Slides panel, right click any slide and choose Insert All Slides.
Then manually go through the presentation and adjust the formatting as needed (e.g., make sure your text is not hidden by the logos, etc).
When adding images or charts that take up most of the slide, you can delete the logo and graphics by right clicking on the slide, choosing Background, and then marking the check box for "omit background graphics from master."
To add your department name or presentation title to all slides, insert the desired text or image as a footer by going to the View menu. Mark the check box for "Do not show on title slide" and then "Apply to All."
Design Tips: Use simple, professional fonts. The recommended fonts are Arial, Palatino, and/or Times. For a professional-looking presentation, avoid use of novelty fonts (such as Comic Sans, Copperplate, script fonts). Avoid excessive animation, sounds, WordArt, and stock clip art. Use high quality images (but be sure not to use images with copyright restrictions).
