Carol A. Bernstein, MD, assumed the role of 137th president of the American Psychiatric Association at the conclusion of the annual meeting. Having been named president-elect of the organization a year ago, Dr. Bernstein is an associate professor of psychiatry, vice chair for education and associate dean for graduate medical education at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Bernstein joined NYU Langone Medical Center in 1993.
