Itzhak Kronzon, MD, FASE, professor in the Department of Medicine and director of Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory at NYU Langone Medical Center, was presented with the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at their 21st Annual Scientific Sessions held in California. Dr.

Carol A. Bernstein, MD, assumed the role of 137th president of the American Psychiatric Association at the conclusion of the annual meeting. Having been named president-elect of the organization a year ago, Dr. Bernstein is an associate professor of psychiatry, vice chair for education and associate dean for graduate medical education at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Bernstein joined NYU Langone Medical Center in 1993.

New York University School of Medicine held its 168th annual graduation on May 13, 2010, at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.
